Gradient light video projection-based stereolithography for continuous production of solid objects

The Video Projection-based Stereolithography (VP-SL) is a fast, low-cost, and high-resolution additive manufacturing (AM) process. However, critical issues, including defects such as holes in the solid geometry constraints limited size, have been reported. To successfully print part, light exposure intensity needs to be carefully controlled. In this paper, gradient video projection-based stereolithography (GLVP-SL) process with continuous resin flow presented. newly developed AM enables fabrication of three-dimensional (3D) objects controlled energy. For each layer, instead single image, three mask images are designed unique grayscale distributions. effect distribution on printing characteristics curing speed flow, investigated. An optimization model identify optimum pattern for desired size density structure developed. comparison, various were printed conventional VP-SL our proposed GLVP-SL porosity surface roughness parts characterized. Experimental results validated that can void-free 3D good quality.
